Ward Business: Overflow, FSY, Save the Date

Highland 28th Ward

Dear Ward Members,

I’m reaching out to address a few items of ward business to make you aware of.

First, at the Beginning of January, I challenged the members of the ward to to come sit closer to the front of the chapel during our Sacrament Meeting so we might close the curtain to the gym.  I have talked with many in the ward who have expressed the need to leave the curtain open.  Due to some medical/health concerns we have promised to keep the curtain open but still encourage members to come fill up the chapel.

Second, FSY registration is open and the majority of our youth have signed up to attend.  We appreciate your efforts to encourage your youth to participate.  This can be a spiritually life changing event for our youth as they embark on this experience with others in the area to build their testimony in their Savior, Jesus Christ.

If you have a son or daughter that is hesitant about going to FSY, please continue encourage them take a step of faith into the unknown, trust in you and the Lord, and sign-up.  Youth, if you are have questions please come and talk with me about them and allow us to support you in your decision.  If you have a friend that you would like to go with that isn’t in the rotation to go this year, please sign up and share with your friend the session you have selected.  They can still have the opportunity to register on April 20th when registration is opened to all.  Please don’t miss this wonderful opportunity.

Last, we are planning a faith building combined activity for all the youth in the ward on Thursday, March 9th at 7:00 pm.  Please mark your calendars now and prioritize this night so all the youth can come.

We are all children of God and He loves us.  Start today to build a closer relationship with your Savior.

Love,

Bishop Jeff Anderson
